The Veilbound Dice
Some nights, the tavern doesn’t belong to the living.
The fire still burns. The ale still flows.
But the laughter comes a second too late…
and not every shadow belongs to the one who casts it.
The Veilbound Dice are said to appear on nights when the boundary between worlds wears thin — when old spirits wander, and forgotten patrons find their way back to the table.
Each die is cast in a pale, opalescent resin, swirling with faint color like lanternlight through fog. Strange markings and symbols drift across their faces — familiar at a glance… but never quite the same twice.
They do not feel cold.
They do not feel warm.
Only… present.
Some who roll them swear the outcome was not theirs alone to decide.
Others claim they heard an extra set of dice hit the table.
No one agrees on what they do.
Only that they should not be played lightly.
Includes a full 7-piece polyhedral set, balanced and ready for play.
If you find them waiting at your table…
It may already be too late to refuse.
